MEET OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AMY SIEGLER
Amy Siegler serves as the Executive Director of the National Chorale, where her leadership, artistic vision, and lifelong dedication to music education have shaped the organization’s programs for nearly two decades.
Now in her 20th season, Amy’s journey from Administrative Assistant to Executive Director reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence and her belief in the transformative power of music.
Early Musical Training and Performance Career
A native of Philadelphia, Amy earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice from the University of the Arts. Her early years as a performer took her to some of the most renowned venues in the country, including The Rainbow Room, Windows on the World, and the Vanderbilt Estate, where her artistry and vocal range captivated audiences.
She auditioned to tour with legendary singer Patti LaBelle, and later pursued performance opportunities in Honolulu and New York City, refining her craft and gaining a deep understanding of the professional music world.
Leadership in Music Education
Amy discovered her true calling when she joined the National Chorale, where she combined her artistic background with a passion for mentoring young musicians. Today, she oversees all aspects of the Chorale’s Education Programs, which reach schools across New York City’s five boroughs.
As Program Director for the Chorale’s Vocal Partnership with the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) in Manhattan, Amy has guided and inspired hundreds of students. Her leadership has expanded the Chorale’s Elementary, Middle, and High School Choral Festivals, providing students with the opportunity to perform on prestigious stages such as David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center.
Artistic Collaborations and Productions
Beyond her administrative and educational leadership, Amy has produced and directed several landmark artistic collaborations. She worked with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) on Allora & Calzadilla’s Fault Lines, where she helped unite visual art, live music, and performance in an immersive, multidisciplinary experience.
Amy also orchestrated a major production of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, featuring students from the PPAS Vocal Program and the Alvin Ailey Dance Program, bringing together young singers and dancers in a powerful celebration of choral and orchestral artistry.

Amy’s career is defined by her belief that music education creates community, confidence, and compassion. Her work at the National Chorale continues to open doors for young artists, ensuring that the next generation experiences the joy and discipline of choral music.
Looking ahead, Amy remains committed to expanding access to arts education, producing inspiring live performances, and nurturing the creative spirit that has long defined the National Chorale.
